    Altar Servers

Loyola prep altar boysAt Loyola Prep, our altar servers play a vital role in our weekly Masses, assisting the priest and helping to ensure that every service runs smoothly and reverently. Their responsibilities include preparing the altar, presenting the gifts, and supporting the priest throughout the liturgy, allowing the rest of the school to participate fully in the celebration.

After each Mass, our altar servers often have an opportunity to speak with the priest, reflecting on their role and discussing how they can continue to serve effectively. This guidance helps them grow in confidence, deepen their understanding of the Mass, and develop a strong sense of responsibility.

Many of our students continue their service beyond school, taking their experience into their own parishes. Through this, they not only support their local church communities but also carry forward the values of service, dedication, and faith nurtured at Loyola Prep.

Becoming an altar server at Loyola Prep is more than a responsibility, it is a rewarding way to contribute to the life of the school and parish, forming a meaningful connection with faith and community.
