At Loyola, faith is at the heart of everything we do. Our boys are encouraged not only to learn about their faith, but to live it, through their actions, their words, and the way they care for others each day. Living in faith at Loyola means celebrating our successes with gratitude, supporting those in need, and showing kindness and respect in all that we do.
From community projects and fundraising initiatives to leadership roles and daily acts of service, our boys are given countless opportunities to put their faith into action, growing in compassion, confidence, and a sense of purpose as they do.
Celebrating our pupils' achievements and behaviour
Each week within our weekly newsletter, we recognise and praise pupils for positive behaviour. This ranges from pupils who have been living out the Gospel values spoken about at the start of each week, to Lunchtime Champions who, once a half-term, are rewarded by having afternoon tea with the Headmistress, or for demonstrating recognition of the Catholic Social Teaching focus of the half-term. This recognition can be for individuals or groups and can be spotted by any member of our school staff. Sometimes, we also have members of staff who are recognised, just as the boys, for living out our mission statement.
Fundraising and charitable activities
At Loyola Prep School, we are proud of our fundraising and charitable activities. Each academic year, a programme of events is scheduled to support a variety of causes, helping the boys put their faith into action through service and generosity. Additional events may also be added throughout the year to respond to new opportunities or urgent needs, allowing our community to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Individual pupils also contribute through their own charitable actions, such as donating birthday money, buying food to give to the local foodbank, or selling their own items to raise funds for those in need.
