CAFOD Club

Loyola Prep CAFOD clubAt Loyola Prep, our CAFOD Club plays a vital role in living out our Catholic mission of compassion, justice and service. Through CAFOD, the official overseas aid agency of the Catholic Church in England & Wales, our boys learn about global issues such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and human rights, and how these connect to the Gospel call to “love your neighbour.”

The club provides opportunities to pray together, fundraise for key campaigns, campaign for social justice, and reflect on how small actions at home, in school, or in the wider world can contribute to lasting change. Participating in the club strengthens their faith, inspiring a deeper sense of responsibility, empathy, and hope, as they see themselves not just as members of our school, but as part of a global community.

In doing so, CAFOD Club enriches their Catholic beliefs by putting into practice the Church’s social teaching — helping each boy to grow spiritually, morally and socially, and encouraging the virtues of charity, stewardship, and solidarity.
