Bringing Learning to Life with Now Press Play

The boys thoroughly enjoyed their recent Now Press Play session, an experience that brings learning to life and captures their imagination from start to finish.

Loyola Prep boys enjoying their lessonsAs a boys’ school, we understand that boys learn best when they are actively involved, when learning is something they do, not just something they read or listen to. Now Press Play provides exactly this kind of opportunity. By using immersive, curriculum-linked audio adventures, pupils are transported straight into the heart of the story, becoming active participants in the lesson rather than passive observers.

Wearing headphones and guided by high-quality audio storytelling, the boys stepped into historical events, explored new settings and engaged with key themes in a way that was both exciting and memorable. This multi-sensory approach supports different learning styles and allows pupils to move, imagine and respond as the story unfolds around them.

Learning by doing is not only more engaging, but also highly effective. Experiences like Now Press Play help to build confidence, spark curiosity and deepen understanding, ensuring that knowledge truly sticks. Pupils are encouraged to think critically, ask questions and make meaningful connections with the curriculum content.

We are always looking for innovative ways to enrich our teaching and inspire a love of learning. The enthusiasm shown by the boys during this session was clear evidence of the impact that immersive learning can have, and we look forward to building on this approach across the curriculum.
