Last week, the boys from PP2 had an unforgettable adventure at the Essex Fire Museum. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to learn all about the history of firefighting and the brave men who risk their lives to keep us safe.
One of the highlights of the trip was when the boys got hands-on experience using the fire hose. They were thrilled to try it out themselves, feeling the power of the water jet and imagining what it must be like to be a firefighter in action. Their excitement and enthusiasm were infectious as they took turns aiming the hose with big smiles on their faces.
Throughout the visit, the boys explored fascinating exhibits filled with historic fire engines, vintage equipment, and interactive displays. The museum guides shared gripping stories about past fires and how technology has evolved over the years to help firefighters protect communities.
This trip not only sparked the boys’ curiosity about fire safety but also gave them a new appreciation for the dedication of firefighters. It was a perfect blend of fun, learning, and inspiration — a day to remember for all.
